He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerusha Almira Workman and Isaac Orville Gurr; his wife Shirley Ann Nelson of Enoch; and his children, Nancy Ann Hobson, Martha Gurr, Marchene Gurr, Cheryl Renee Gurr and Samuel.
He is survived by: his children, Willis Bengt Gurr (Shirlee), Edwin, Valerie Ellen Faulkner (Scott), David Thomas Gurr and Emma Rachelle Gurr; his son-in-law Russell Hobson; and his siblings, Merlin Gurr and Linda Larsen. He is also survived by 10 children and 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
