It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thad Torgersen of Cedar City, Utah, who passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Levi and Leona Torgersen (Winget); his wife Cleola Hatch; and his siblings, Kyle, Milen, Louise, Neldo (Nick) and Alden.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Bratton (Richard), Dianne Hadlock (Rick), Stanley Torgersen (Janet Matheson), Shari Oppenheimer (Kelly), Connie Murray (Randall) and Merilee Robinson (Mark); his sister Lois Christensen (Delbert); his sister-in-law Velma Torgersen; and also Thad. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the LDS Chapel (500 W 400 N, Cedar City, UT 84721). A burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Koosharem Cemetery.
