He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Smith and Betty Smith (Ohlsen); and his father-in-law Dale Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Diane (Simmons); his children, Amanda Krause, Rebecca Jorgensen (Erik), Jonathan Smith (Shannon) and Kathryn Bowen (John); his sister Peggy; and his mother-in-law Gretta Simmons. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
