He was predeceased by: his parents, Mel Hunter and Drexel Hunter; his daughter Jill Russell; his siblings, Joan Nelson and Bobby Hunter; and his great grandchild KC McCrae Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his pet Lulu; his sons, Jeff Hunter (Laurie) and Chad Hunter; and his sister Susan Orton (Sterling).
He died at the age of 85 from complications of Alzheimer's disease on October 23rd, 2023 in Cedar City, Utah.
