He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Thelma Ashdown; his siblings, Laurence, Craig and Celestia; his wife Marketta Phillips Ashdown; his sons, Vance Ashdown, Jeffery Ashdown and Mark Ashdown (Cindy); his grandchildren, Jesse Ashdown, Amber Ashdown, Whitney Ashdown, Derek Ashdown (Erin), Kris Ashdown (Trish), Mckay Ashdown (Autumn) and Alaena Ashdown; his father Leonard Ashdown; his brothers, Brian and Lee Ashdown; his daughter-in-law Linda Ashdown; his grandchildren, Brennan, Jake and Chyanne; and his great grandchild Journey. He was also cherished by 22 great-grandchildren.
