He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Andrew and Mary Edna Reese Hyer; his sister Mary Hyer; his parents-in-law, Perry Elwell and Mazona Hunsaker Morgan; his daughter Jana Marie Hyer; his son-in-law Randy Lee Humphries; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Hyer, Peggy Hyer and Penny Affleck.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Brenda Morgan; his children, Andrew Perry Hyer (Ellene) and Amy Lynn Humphries Sharpe (Chip); and his brothers, Kenneth Hyer, Keith Hyer (Kathryn), Max Hyer and Alan Hyer (Sue). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
