James Mortensen Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 16, 2022 we had to say goodbye to James Mortensen of Cedar City, Utah. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jesse William and Maria Clara Aldaz Mortensen; his wife Jonita; his children, Jeanie Mortensen, Debbie Gamble, Kathilee Welsh, James Mortensen Jr., Rochelle Mortensen, Jon Mortensen, Lea Schuler and Carrie Lundell; and his siblings, Elvia Baird, Lisa Davis, Rey Mortensen, George Mortensen and Robert Mortensen. He was also cherished by 43 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up an endowed scholarship in his honor.
