He was predeceased by: his brothers, Maurice Myron Carey III and Richard Edward Carey; and his granddaughter Michealla Carey. He is survived by: his wife Mary Smith-Carey; his children, Justin Carey, Bryce Carey (Jenice), Michelle Thompson (Travis), Jaimie Carey (Stephanie) and Troy Carey; and his sisters, Virginia Howells, Laura Duquenoy (Serge) and Marlyn Reardon (Mike). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
