It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Cherrington in Cedar City, Utah, born in Panguitch, Utah, who passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Riley and Cleta Merriee Kennedy Cherrington; his former wife Kay Riggs; his children, Craig and Elyce Schmutz; his granddaughter Charla; his daughter-in-law Merilee Jones; and his brothers, Robert and Julian.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann; his children, Kelly Anderson (Clayton), Amy Hone (Kent) and Charlotte Cherrington; and his daughters-in-law, Rebecca Orton (Kevin), Selene Corbridge (Kevin), Zane Jones (Michelle) and Burke Jones (Janette). He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
