He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Vigh Atkinson and Wilson Atkinson; his daughter Kristi Ann; his son-in-law Rhett Murray; and his brothers-in-law, Willie Carton and Doug Angell.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Atkinson; his children, Terri Lynne Atkinson, Heather Hokanson (Paul), Holly Murray, Heidi Thomas (Scott), David (Misti), Scott (Danielle), Bryan (DeAnza) and Andrew (Elaine); and his sisters, Ann Trimble (Ron), Janeen Angell and Cheryl Johnson (Ross). He is also survived by 39 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Cedar City West Stake Center (765 S 1100 W, Cedar City, UT 84720). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Cedar City Cemetery (685 N, Cedar City, UT 84721).
