He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Tom and Arlene Myers Tom; his son Craig Tom; his siblings, Sam Tom and Gaylyn Tom; and his nephews, Mitch Tom and Rusty Tom.
He is survived by: his wife Bernie Tom; his children, Tonya Petty (late Bobby Sims) of Cedar City, Merrillee Chamberlain (Robert) of Cedar City, Clay Tom (Teresa) of Cedar City, Brady Tom of Cedar City, Shoni John (Elton) of Cedar City, Sheldon Tom of Cedar City, Jake Tom of Cedar City and Shawna Shepherd (Dale) of St. George Utah; and his brother Russ Tom of Fredonia Arizona. He is also survived by the oldest of three brothers and one sister.
