He was predeceased by: his parents, John Scherick and Letha Faye Scherick; his parents-in-law, Leo and Velda Dalton; his daughter Amberi Scherick; his brother-in-law Van L. Dalton; and his son-in-law Jesse Carter.

He is survived by: his children, Amberli, Shawn, Chaleece (Jesse), Justin (April), Travis (Sharilee) and TyAnne (Isaac).
