He was predeceased by: his parents, Rumell Ence and Grace Neilson Ahlstrom; his wife Lucille; his daughter Elise Jensen; his siblings, Bonnie and Eugene; and his son-in-law Dennis Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Skougaard (David), Karen Smith, Evelyn Ashworth (Stephen) and Rodney Ence (Pamela); and his brother Darryl Mel Ence (Cathy). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
