It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derral Stratton (Cedar City, Utah), who passed away on December 1, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lockey Mezetta Turnbeaugh and Aril Stratton; his parents-in-law, Joy L. and Erva Peterson; his daughter-in-law Judith Stratton; and his brothers-in-law, Daryl Yates, Merlin Peterson and James Peterson.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Peterson Stratton; his children, Troy Charles Stratton (late Judith) of Cedar City, Andrea Maloney (Keith) of Enoch, MaraDawn Preece (David) of Payson and Tracy Kirkham (Cindy) of Summit Utah; his grandchildren, Katelin Korth (Alex), Laura Stratton, Jessica Smagghe (Oliver), Tim Stratton, Matthew Stratton, Jacob Maloney (Lexie), Megan Eliason (Jeremy), Klayton Maloney, Joshua Maloney, Zakary Preece, Logen Preece, Carsyn Preece and Aisya Preece; his siblings, Gerald A Stratton (Patricia) of St. George, Marydon Yates (late Daryl) of South Jordan and Cloyd N Stratton (Lynn) of Cedar City; and his sisters-in-law, Carrie Ann Peterson and Sherril Newby (Kenneth) of St. George. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Southern Utah Mortuary (190 N 300 W, Cedar City, UT 84720). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
