He was predeceased by: his parents, Gregorio Cleofe Villareal and Rufina Perez Cea; and his siblings, Renato, Reneca and Virgillio.
He is survived by: his wife Michelle Moser Herring; his brothers, Charles and Anthony; his daughters, Samantha Herring and Malia; his parents-in-law, Dennis and LeeAnn Moser; and his sister-in-law Emily Crofts (Curt). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Since his diagnosis with Parkinson's, he was involved in a boxing group called the Rock Steady Boxing Program. It is a boxing-based Parkinson's therapy group.
