He was predeceased by: his sister Lanae; and his grandparents, Ross, Zina Woolsey, Melvin and Ila Murie.
He is survived by: his parents, Patricia Murie and Roger Murie; his children, Kamron Murie of Orem Utah, Landon Murie (Katya) of Novgorod Russia and Ashlyn Murie of Lehi Utah; his brother Ross Murie (Kaisa); and his grandson Jackson Murie of Orem Utah.
