The memory of James F. Nelson (Castle Dale, Utah), who passed away on January 15, 2025 at the age of 89, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryant Andrew Nelson and Gladys Braithwaite; and his siblings, LaRue, Dora Dean, Glenna, Bryant Glade and Joseph (Earl).
He is survived by: his children, Margaret Gonzalez (Rafael) of Riverton and Joseph Nelson (Maxine) of Sturgis, Michigan; and his siblings-in-law, Glenna Kofford (Gary), Becky Nelson, Colleen Nelson, Marva Peterson, Jay DeFriez (Ann) and Roger DeFriez (Diana). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 bonus great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Castle Dale Stake Center (35 E Main St, Castle Dale, UT 84513). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Huntsman Cancer Institute, American Red Cross, or Latter-day Saint Charities.
