He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandmother Emma Catherine; his wife Bonnie; his former wife JoAnn Blackley Nicholes; his children, Patricia Hampton (Roy), Cheri Tucker and Mike Nicholes (Gina); his siblings, Verlin Nicholes and Beverly Allred; his parents, Leroy Gjettrup Nicholes and Emma Catherine Syndergaard; his sister-in-law Fran Nicholes (Verlin); and his grandsons, Jeffrey and Don Hampton. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
