He was predeceased by: his parents, William Charles and Verda Farnes Welch; his wife Dyan; his children, Robert and Deann; and his brothers, Phil and Keith.

He is survived by: his brothers, Cyril Welch (LaPriel) and Terry Welch (Hope); and his children, Joann Call (Raymond), Kathleen Campbell (Jeffery), Susan Mangum (Bardell), Janette Peterson (Eldon), Richard Welch (Vikki) and KayLynn Larsen (Allen). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, and 51 great-grandchildren.
