She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson Jacob and Verda Mildred Kent Heater; her son Lynn Merritt; and her sisters, Lois Wilson and Alice Faye Heater.
She is survived by: her husband Elwin; her children, Charles Merritt (Audree), Becky Robinson (Cal), Kim Merritt (Sharon), Amee Merritt and Daniel Merritt (Shelley); her daughter-in-law Kathy Nickerson (Glen); and her siblings, Rebecca Rutz, Grant Heater, Edwin Heater, Larry Heater and Donald Heater. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
