He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Joseph and Ruth Haws Wight; his wife Kathryn Thurza Young Wight; his son Joseph Clark Wight; and his sisters, Ruth Geneal Fowler (George William) and Julia Mitchell (Mitch).
He is survived by: his children, Chris Wight (Nadine), Debbie Yates (George), Cyn Valentine, Dianna Wight, Vicki Baddley (Terry), Curt Wight (Shanel), Valerie Keller (Mark) and Jason Wight (Karrie). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Doug was dedicated to public service and made significant contributions to Brigham City, serving three terms on the City Council, four years as chairman of the Planning Commission, and 10 years on the Bear River Water Conservancy District.
