He was predeceased by: his sister Julia Francom; and his son David Hammer. He is survived by: his wife Julie Hammer; his siblings, DeLicia Leach, Carrie Gill, Jeffrey Hammer and Nathan Hammer; and his children, Jacob, Joshua, Ida, Hans and Sarah Hammer. He is also survived by four grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Brigham City 1st Ward Chapel (236 E 100 S, Brigham City, UT 84302). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Croydon City Cemetery (1512 N 6800 E, Croydon, UT 84018).
