He is survived by: his former wife Shauna Mitchell; his sons, Scott McDermeit (Jamie Hester), Derek McDermeit (Lacy Rasmussen) and Justin McDermeit (Stephanie); and his siblings, Judy Dalton and Daniel McDermeit. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
