He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Ora Jensen Hewlett and Alonzo Hewlett; his sisters, Beth and Barbara; and his granddaughter Kassie.

He is survived by: his wife Ada Hadley; and his children, Kayleen Reese (Ken), David Hewlett (Kelly) and Danielle Laursen. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
