We are sad to announce that on December 5, 2023, at the age of 75, Martin Spencer Backer (Bountiful, Utah), born in Salt Lake City, Utah passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin August Backer and Phoebe May Spencer; his children, Tammy Renee Backer and Tygh John Backer; and his brother Russell Backer.

He is survived by: his wife Renee Backer; his children, Wade Backer (Sandy) and Stefanie Anjewierden (Dan); his daughter-in-law Jamie Backer; his siblings, Betsy Backer and Gerry Backer (Bear); and his grandchildren, Jenessa, Harvey, Luke, Emabelle, Jane, Martin, Blake, Avelynn and Quentin.
