He was predeceased by: his parents, James Willard Mathews and Ethel Roper Mathews; and his son Shaun. He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Susan Hunter (David), Shellie LeFevre (David), Sauni Henrie (Cary), Steven Mathews (Natalie), Shannon Curd (Tim), Scot Mathews (Nicole), North and Sally Jensen; and his siblings, Donna Woods (Dick), Russell Mathews (Donna) and Lola Koppe (Mark). He is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
