He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Ray Brown and Ruth Holbrook; his son Spencer Holbrook Brown; his grandchildren, Tyler Brown and Paige Brown; and his siblings, Nora and Floyd.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Stratford; his children, Jennifer Chamberlain (Mark), Matthew Brown (Colleen), Jeremy Brown, Russell Brown (Lara), Alsina Elizabeth Fielding (Mathew), Bradley Brown (Jamie), Emily Rowley (Shane) and Joshua Brown (Alyssa); and his siblings, Keith, Wayne Brown and Annette Eliason.

He lived the Gospel of Jesus Christ, extended charity to all, and especially treasured his time serving in the Bountiful Temple.
