He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Joseph Brems and Amy Catherine Williams; his sisters, LaRue Reid and Mildred Abell; his grandson James Carlson; his great grandchild Joseph Madison; and his great great grandchild Jimmy Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Naomi Brems; his children, Barbara VanQuill (Larry), Scott (Jackie), David (Annette), John (Jolynn), Betty Carlson and Robert (Pamara); and his brother-in-law Arthur Nettleship (Maradon). He is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren.
