Ruth Sloan Palmer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Sloan Palmer of Blanding, Utah, who passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Guthrie and Polly Skousen Sloan; her siblings, Melvina, Ralph, George and Daniel; her son-in-law Richard Coston; and her grandchildren, Jonnie Bryn Redd, Oley Palmer, Tom Palmer, Jerry Palmer and William Kolin Redd (Bowie).
She is survived by: her children, Marene Coston, Daniel (Paia), Polly Madrid (John), Ted (Merry) and Amy Redd (Kenny); and her sister-in-law Doris Sloan of Mesa. She is also survived by 67 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren.
As our father's mobility declined, due to Parkinson's Disease, she provided the care for him, mostly on her own, through numerous, difficult and sometimes humorous challenges.
