She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Lynda Lu Palmer; her siblings, Kent, Ned, Jack, Lurlene (Gutke) and Jay Palmer; her former husband Phil May; and her children, Lynnette, Tammy, Debby, Lamont, Margo and Bernita.

She was afflicted with Alzheimer's in her last years and lived at Four Corners Regional Care Center and then Bella Terra Rehabilitation Center where she received loving care before she passed.
