He was predeceased by: his parent Cleo Bess; his siblings, Ray Bess and Janet Thornton; and his daughter Kristy Sue Bess. He is survived by: his parent Willard James; his children, Kim Bess (Peggy) of Parowan, Utah, Shane Bess (Wendy) of Parowan, Utah and Rance Bess (Nichole) of Paragonah; and his siblings, Cleon Richardson, Kathleen Stones, Betty Jo Robb and Ken Bess. He is also survived by his 22 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
