He is survived by: his wife Mary Christensen; his child-in-law Daren Herring; his close friend Mary Kathryn Christensen Patterson; his children, Kristen Herring and Daren King Herring; his granddaughter Brighton Elizabeth Herring; and his brother Clark Lynn Patterson (Paulette). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews.
