She was predeceased by: her parents, Manley Augustus Newman and Maggie Matilda Petersen; her husband William "Garth" Curtis; and her brothers, Gordon Manley Newman and Lee J Newman.
She is survived by: her children, David Curtis (Dianne), Paul Curtis (Carolee), Cassandra Favrot (Darrell) and Scott Curtis (Alexandria); and her sister Marva Marx. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
