She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas X. Smith Jr. and Arvilla Allen Smith; her siblings, Jean Miller, Tommy Smith and Allen Smith; and her grandson Max Sampson.

She is survived by: her husband LaMar; her children, Ben McBride (Tempy), Maradee Peterson (Steven), Brayden McBride (Cassy), Megan Sampson (Anthony) and Bronson McBride (Tara); her siblings, Barbara, Charmaine, Steve, Larry, David, Vaughn, Rhett and Kara; her brother-in-law Bob Miller; and also Vaughn Smith.

Those who loved Kris are eternally grateful to the individuals who kindly donated these lifesaving organs to her.
