He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ira Thornton and Zella Thornton; his wife Patsy Thornton; his children, Karma Harmer (Jim), Linda Street, Terry Thornton (Deborah), Ronald Thornton (Suzan), Rose Marie Williams (Jay), Kathaleen Thomson, Cheryl Harris and Kimberly Buhler (Michael); his sister Laverne Pulley (Lynn); his former wife Betty Philips; and his sons, John "Jackie" Thornton and Michael Thornton.
