He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ezell and Beatrice Jenkins Ezell; his wife Loyola Maria Trujillo; his siblings, Clayton, Kerene, Mina Belle, Thelma and Vella B; and his grandson Gregg Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Margeritte Smith (Ernie), Diane Smith (Brent) and Larry Ezell (Jeri); and his siblings, Iris Jean Durham, Reva Lee (Franklin), Laris Ezell (Dot) and Arlene Richardson (Nelson). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
