He is survived by: his parents, Milton Bruening and Linda Bruening; his wife Lynne McDaniel Bruening; his children, Sean Bruening (Aislynn), Christie Foley (Scott), Scott Bruening, Rebekah Bruening-Dixon (Kevin) and Rachel Bruening; his grandchildren, Kimball, Ivy, Emery and June; and his siblings, Merlin Bruening (Karen) and Susan Caswell (David).
