He is survived by: his wife Erma Ames; his children, Steven Ames (Laurie), Teresa Burdick (Ken), Roosevelt and Leslie Thacker (Dean); his daughter-in-law Sandy Ames; his sister Paula Dee Bartholomew; and his stepchildren, Dawnette Browning, DeAnn Carter (Steve), Darla Hansen (Chuck) and Glenna Mayhew. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
