She is survived by: her husband Buddy of Altamont; her children, Julio "Jay" Vela, III (Natalie) of Port Lavaca, TX, Janet Bryce Monney (Shilo), Jeniphre Brett Flores (Fernando) and Jaclynn Brodie "Jackie" Wood (Aaron) of Boerne, TX; her siblings, Jessie Garcia, Candelario "Cande" (Diana) of León, Robert (Vilma) of León, Diana Lopez (Melvin) of Missouri City, TX, Janie Marquez (Sid) of Harlington, TX and Armando of León; and her siblings-in-law, Manuel Tagle and Denise Scott. She is also survived by five grandsons and five granddaughters, one great-granddaughter.
