She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucius R Swasey and Inez Durrant Swasey; her siblings, George Swasey, Dean Swasey and Ardel Gillespie; and her grandson Oscar Dempsey Thompson.

She is survived by: her husband Steve W. Thompson; her siblings, John Swasey (Barbara), Maxine Jensen and Amanda Prows; and her sons, David S. Thompson (Kip), John E. Thompson (Ruth), Blaine L. Thompson (Karen), Kenneth R Thompson and Benjamin H. Thompson (Crystal).
