With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Worrell of Zavalla, Texas, born in Newton, Mississippi, who passed away on December 4, 2020 at the age of 75. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Page Worrell Gainey and Lloyd Worrell; his stepson Jerry Hitchcock, Jr.; his grandchildren, Amanda Brown, Dixie Bielicki and Zachary Hitchcock; and his brother Thomas Worrell.

He is survived by: his wife LaVern Worrell; and his children, John Anthony Worrell (Angie), Joel Hitchcock (Cindy), Carol Cude (David) and Carrie Brown. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
