He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Elbert McKnight and Clara Bernice McKnight (Cheatom); his sisters, Georgia Frances Sisson and Rosalie Melancon; his son-in-law Tim Dudley; and his nephews, James Anderson and Gary Sisson.
He is survived by: his daughter Penny; his son-in-law Bobby Whisenant of Etoile; his daughter Angela; his son-in-law Mike Slamen of Katy, Texas; his daughters, Lora Dudley (Tom Turner) of Nacogdoches and Sally; his son-in-law Greg Kirkland of Montgomery; his grandchildren, Jessie Mitchell of Lufkin, Kevin (Jessica Marler) of Montgomery, Cody Whisenant (Jamee Fowler) of Huntington and Jack Kirkland of Montgomery; and his great grandchildren, Ryan Mitchell of Lufkin, Brantley Mitchell of Lufkin, Ryleigh Whisenant of Huntington and Kai Marler of Montgomery. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
