She was predeceased by: her parents, Celia Castañeda and James R. Acosta, Sr.; and her parents-in-law, Delores Richard and Richard R. Richard, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Rick" Richard, Jr. of Zavalla; her daughter Olivia Richard Simmons of Port Neches; and her siblings, Claudia Acosta (Terrance Adamson) of Lake Jackson, Clarissa Koederitz of Gretna, Louisiana, Ricardo Ramos (Ana Ramos) of The Woodlands and James Acosta, Jr. of Waco. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
