She was predeceased by: her son Jorge Ortiz Chavez; her grandson Angel Bustamante; her parents, Pedro Chavez and Florencia Chavez; and her siblings, Beto Chavez, Vicente Chavez, Socorro Chavez and Rebecca Chavez.
She is survived by: her children, Mario Alberto Ortiz Chavez (Claudia), Jose Dimas Ortiz Chavez, Leticia Isabel Ortiz Chavez, Rosa Nelly Mendez (Victor) and Reyna Bustamante (Eduardo E.); her grandchildren, Alondra Ortiz Juarez, Gael Ortiz Juarez, Jimena Ortiz Juarez, Antonio Ortiz Chavez, Rene Ibarra, Jorge Corpus Ortiz, Danely Corpus Ortiz, Alan Mendez, Eduardo E. Bustamante, Jr., Mario Bustamante and Benjamin Bustamante; and her siblings, Elias Chavez, Issac Chavez, Israel Chavez, Pedro Chavez and Petra Chavez. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.
