It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose Corando Thatcher of Zapata, Texas, who passed away on August 9, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Eric Thatcher; his parents, Juan Thatcher and Paula Thatcher; his siblings, Oscar Thatcher (Zulema Garza) and Omedi Thatcher; his brothers-in-law, Fernando Morales and Francisco Caballero; and his parents-in-law, Felipe Morales and Antonia Morales.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria M. Thatcher; his sons, Jose Corando, Jr. Thatcher (Maria Guadalupe) and Ricardo Thatcher; his grandchildren, Michael David Thatcher, Jonathan Thatcher, Amanda Renee Thatcher, Brenda Marie Thatcher and Alessandra Rae Thatcher; his great grandchild Brianna Marie Alaniz; his siblings, Juan Jr. Thatcher (Petrita), Derly Thatcher (Arlina), Rudy Thatcher (Elisa), Maria Elena, Viola Garcia (Sergio) and Yolanda Thatcher (Joel Pacheco); and his siblings-in-law, Ismael Morales, Felipe Morales, Jr. (Rosita), Braulio Morales (Sylvia), Efrain Morales (Leticia), Olga M. Perez (Humberto), Adelaida M. Piña, Yolanda M. De Los (Armando), Amada M. Thompson (Sherman), Antonia M. Guzman (Hugo), Isabel M. Lerma (Javier) and Amanda B. Caballero. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.
Due to COVID19 pandemic, family will be having an immediate family service on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 9 a. m. to 10 a. m. at Rose Garden Funeral Home.
