She was predeceased by: her parents, Cristobal Manuel Martinez and Amada Guadalupe Ramirez; and her husband Sheriff Gilberto Villarreal. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Zapata, Texas, Alzheimer's Association or any foundation of your choice.
