It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roland Riedesel of Yorktown, Texas, who passed away on November 7, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Riedesel and Marie Schmidt Riedesel; and his siblings, John, Herman A, Fritz, Wilfred, Pauline Metting and Oliva Janssen.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Gras Riedesel (Korea); his children, Gil Riedesel (Beth), Martha Podsim (Arvid) and Robert Riedesel; his grandchildren, Ryan Podsim (Vickie), Larissa Kitchens (Michael), Robyn Smith (Roger) and Erin Schroeder (Adam); his great grandchildren, Barrett Smith, Hunter Smith, Isaac Schroeder, Eliott Schroeder, Alexander Schroeder, Ezekiel Schroeder, Hazel Kitchens and Sierra Kitchens; and his sisters-in-law, Leona Riedesel and Page Graves. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
