He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Vogel and Cleora Moos Vogel; his brother Roman Vogel; and his siblings-in-law, Freddie Katcsmorak, Jerry Wyatt, Billie Uhl, Cleveland Stehle, Laverne Meyer and Cathy Meyer.

He is survived by: his wife Cleda Louise Vogel; his children, Douglas Vogel (Bridget Vogel) of Yorktown and Tami McCall (Robert McCall) of Boerne; his siblings, Norwin Vogel (Elerine) of New Berlin, Herman Vogel (Nita) of Seguin and Marilyn Katcsmorak; and his siblings-in-law, Mackie Vogel, Mark Stehle (Zanna) of San Antonio, Jewel Uhl of Deer Park and Karen Rogers (Warren) of Yorktown. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
