With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Johnnie Bednorz of Yorktown, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Isador Bednorz and Ella Riedesel Bednorz; his son Darrell Bednorz; and his siblings, Roland Machost, Agnes Saunders, Leona Saunders, Esther Saunders and Pauline Waits.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Bednorz of Merit, TX, Kathy Chappell of Yorktown, Rhonda Santiago (Freddie) of Arkansas, Chris (Monica) of North Zulch and Jason Bednorz of Yorktown; his grandchildren, Erica Kahla (Steven), Chase Whitaker (Blossom), Jessica Chappell, Duane Bednorz (Tiffany), David Bednorz (Jessica), Tatiana Bednorz, Austin Bednorz, Brian Cornel (Tori), Daniel Cornel, Ashley Howard (Carson), Audrie Bednorz and Avery Bednorz; and his great grandchildren, Sidney, Edward, Kenneth, Asher, Riely, Reagan, Jameson, Genesis, Harley, Ethan, Oliver, Olivia and Elizabeth.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Massey Funeral Home (779 N Riedel St, Yorktown, TX 78164). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at the Westside Cemetery Westside Cemetery (1335 Westside Cemetery Rd, Yorktown, TX 78164).
