With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eva Marie Gohmert of Yorktown, Texas, who passed away on October 14, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Eckwald Spies; her husband Harold Gohmert; her sister Evelyn Barfield (Joe); and her siblings-in-law, Judith Burda (Ladis Sr), Betty Gohmert and Julius Gohmert (Jean).
She is survived by: her son Walter Gohmert (Jeanie); her grandson Bryan Gohmert (Brandie); her great grandchildren, Brock and Brantley; her brother-in-law Daniel Gohmert; and her nieces and nephews, Thomas Barfield (Becky), David Barfield (Grace), Larry Gohmert (Nancy), Ladis Burda Jr. (Ana), Laurie Barfield (Doug Riggs), Leah Burda and Vicky Rangnow (Kyle). She is also survived by numerous cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church-Yorktown, Hospice of South Texas or donor's choice.
